So what is Team Halo? According to their website:
We are volunteer scientists and healthcare professionals from around the world, working to end this pandemic by contributing our time to address concerns and public health misinformation
Our #TeamHalo videos bring you accurate, up-to-date facts on the safety & effectiveness of the Covid-19 vaccines and other public health issues. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Team Halo was established as part of the United Nations Verified Initiative in partnership with Purpose and the Vaccine Confidence Project, the University of London’s School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Support is Provided by Luminate, IKEA Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation and Capgemini.
It sounds noble, volunteerism in the face of pandemic to better equip the public in a time of crisis, until you see the funding sources. I’m sure the Rockefeller Foundation was a dead give away if you’ve read Rockefeller Medicine Men: Medicine and Capitalism in America by E. Richard Brown. If you haven’t read it I highly recommend it.
In it one of Brown’s central arguments of the book is that the Rockefeller family played a significant role in shaping the development of “modern” medicine (a.k.a. Sickcare) in America during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The Rockefeller's, through their vast wealth and philanthropic endeavors, were instrumental in founding medical schools, hospitals, and research institutions. they also established the Rockefeller Foundation, which provided funding for medical research and public health initiatives.
However, the book also highlights the tensions between the Rockefeller family’s capitalist values and the ideas of public health and medicine as a social good. The Rockefellers’ philanthropic efforts in medicine often served their own financial interests, such as the creation of the Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research, which focused on basic scientific research that had commercial potential.
Moreover, Brown argues that the Rockefeller family’s approach to medicine was shaped by their belief in the power of technology and expertise to solve social problems. This approach prioritized technological solutions over addressing the root causes of health inequities, such as poverty and inequality. As a result, their polices had mixed results in terms of healthcare access, medical education, and research.
Another important theme of the book is the role of capitalism in shaping the medical industrial complex in America. Brown argues that the profit-driven goals of the medical industry often conflicted with the ideals of public health and medicine as a social good. For example, the rise of for-profit hospitals and pharmaceutical companies created tensions between the need to provide quality healthcare to all and the drive for profits.
This fundamental philosophy on healthcare is replicated in the pandemic and is seen parroted in Team Halo. Support and belief in new technology as a savior in the time of crisis and at odds with actual beneficial public health measures such as early intervention.
One of the key tactics used by Team Halo is the promotion of technology and expertise as a solution to the COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative features videos and social media posts from scientists and healthcare professionals who explain the “science” behind COVID-19 vaccines and address “common misconceptions.” This approach mirrors the Rockefeller family’s belief in the power of technology and expertise to solve social problems, as discussed in “Rockefeller Medicine Men.” In fact, you’ll see an obsession with Team Halo members about “credentials,” often trying to bolster their image with credentialing and affiliation behind their name while attacking licensure and affiliation of those who dissent against the official covid narrative.
Team Halo has its foundation in tactics from the Rockefeller Institute, but how did Team Halo come to be? It is the product of the World Economic Forum and the United Nations, in collaboration with TikTok. Melissa Fleming, Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications for the United Nations Tells Adrian Monck, Managing Director, World Economic Forum Geneva, about the initiative to tackle “disinformation.” You can watch the entire video or read the transcript by clicking here, or if you prefer, you can watch the three minute TikTok video on my profile by clicking here.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, the spread of “misinformation” such as early intervention treatment, and lived stories of harm from the Covid vaccine, were a major threat to vaccine compliance. To combat this, the United Nations (UN) and the World Economic Forum (WEF) created Team Halo, a join initiative that aims to promote Covid vaccine confidence and to fight the “misinformation” about harm coming to those who took the vaccine.
Launched in November 2020, Team Halo consisted of scientists and healthcare professionals who use social media platforms to share UN/WEF/CDC/FDA approved information about Covid-19 vaccines and “debunk” any information not approved such as myocarditis, blood clots, or early intervention. The initiative has been successful in reaching millions of people around the world and “crowding out” any other view point. According to a recent article by the WEF, Team Halo has garnered more than 400 million views on TikTok with help from TikTok providing preferential algorithm treatment and making it impossible to report Team Halo members for abuse, harassment, bullying, or going against TikTok Community Guidelines.
To further support Team Halo’s efforts, TikTok collaborated with the UN and WEF to provide the Initiative with verified platforms. This enabled Team Halo Members to provide scripted information on TikTok and gain thousands of followers despite TikTok Community Guideline violations and gang stalking of individuals. As you can see from the Twitter profiles below, Team Halo members struggle to gain followers without preferential algorithm treatment.
The UN and WEF are continuing to work together to address the “challenges” of vaccine hesitancy and “misinformation,” particularly in low and middle income countries with initiatives such as Chelsea Clintons forced vaccination initiative called The Big Catch Up, also involving the WHO and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
